Review
A tightly constructed thriller with a refreshingly humanist twist on the astronaut-versus-cosmonaut trope—which, admittedly, crumbles under close inspection. Turn your brain off for a while—or simply overlook certain plot details—and you’re treated to a tense, compact film that nails its suspense, echoing the best beats of a well-crafted airport layover paperback.
Overthink it, or expect too much, and I.S.S. will inevitably disappoint. It’s best approached with forgiving eyes—especially if claustrophobic thrillers are your thing—because, despite its flaws, there’s truly a lot to enjoy here.
