Jurassic World Rebirth

Continuity

Review

In this soft reboot of a soft reboot, mercenaries sent to harvest blood from prehistoric megafauna and a family vacationing in dino-infested waters fight to survive in the pulpiest, most blatantly B-movie entry the franchise has produced since Jurassic Park III. You don’t need to have watched any of the preceding films for this to work, so that’s nice. On the flippy dip, we get the thinnest of plots, the most cookie-cutter of character archetypes, and the most economical action imaginable. In other words: cinematic junk food. We’re not better off for it, but it sure is tasty.
