It’s sci-fi amateur hour as a young scientist gets abducted by aliens and stumbles his way through the fallout, desperately trying to clear his name from ridicule, in this overlong, stiffly acted, and consistently boring piece of thinly veiled Sunday service propaganda. Everything here feels assembled by people with a startlingly tenuous grasp on how the world actually works, made worse by a humorless script that ensures there is no real fun to be had (zero stars).
