Review

During an assessment job at an abandoned lab, a chronic down-on-his-luck screwup starts seeing faces and fragments of WWII bleeding into his reality. He searches for meaning in the visions while his home life and sense of self collapse in a mostly self-inflicted spiral. The early stretch leans into its own pulpiness, offering a goofy but genuinely engaging mystery, only for everything to fall apart once that charm gives way to unearned sentimentality and hokey metaphysical conveniences.
