Spaceman

Review

A solitary astronaut grappling with isolation and a failing marriage encounters a giant, telepathic spider that guides him on a profound journey of self-discovery. The premise is absurd, but the execution is earnest and grounded in just enough human regret, accountability, and genuine heartache to keep it from slipping into parody. Still, the story stops short of fully embracing its own weirdness, keeping its most surreal ideas at arm’s length and opting for restraint where a bolder commitment might have made the experience more affecting.
