Star Trek: Section 31

The 14th film in the franchise and a spin-off from Star Trek: Discovery follows former Terran Empress Philippa Georgiou on a covert Starfleet mission meant to reckon with her past, but it plays like a generic 2000s action movie dressed in Trek cosplay. Corny production choices, futile attempts at gee-whiz excitement, and a cast with zero chemistry drain the story of any energy, while a painfully predictable plot leans on tired world-ending stakes and one of the franchise’s worst new characters.
