The Flash

Review

After discovering he can move faster than the speed of light, chronically anxious Justice League member Barry Allen attempts to undo the past by traveling back in time to prevent his father from being framed for his mother’s murder, only to set off a chain of unintended consequences that amount to little more than the next big set piece. What begins as a genuinely charming, Flash-focused Justice League romp loses its way around the midsection, where heartfelt reflection and genuine character growth are displaced by yet another attempt to justify Man of Steel (2013). There is a fine line between fan service and corporate box-checking, and that line is crossed repeatedly.
