The Gorge

Two disposable operatives from rival superpowers are stationed at a remote cliffside, tasked with containing whatever nightmare the gorge is hiding. Commanded to carry out their missions in total isolation, they instead fall for each other, promptly beginning a string of ill-advised choices. Any goodwill earned during a compelling first act is promptly thrown to the ghouls as the central mystery reveals itself to be more mind-numbing than thought-provoking.
