The Wanting Mare

Set in an unspecified post-apocalyptic future and spanning a generation, a mother’s recurring dream is passed to her daughter, who uses it to survive in a city everyone is desperate to leave. It’s visually stunning, but so caught up in its own mythology that the plot gets stuck in the cinematic equivalent of vaguebooking. There’s very little telling, and the showing doesn’t really clear things up.
