Watchmen: Chapter 2

An adaptation of the second half of the book, set immediately after the events of Chapter I, this installment carries the story toward its dark ending as the remaining masked figures begin to uncover the truth behind the killings and the larger conspiracy surrounding them. Considered on its own terms, it plays as the stronger entry, though this owes less to craft than to the inherent momentum of Watchmen’s latter half. As a whole, it retains the project’s central weakness: a beat-for-beat adaptation of a story designed to be read.
